Since 1998, Rob has worked in the environmental graphics design and fabrication industry. Along with a rich technical
design background, he has over 10 years of experience managing projects of varying scope, ranging from convention
center facade renovations to the design and implementation of university and airport wayfinding systems. This experience
is augmented by a formal education in Visual Effects Production from the Academy of Art University, which gives Rob
a unique perspective into 3D technology and its applications in wayfinding design, presentation and production. It is also
the source of his advocacy of emerging technologies and interdisciplinary design.
In 2007, Rob joined Gensler, one of the largest architecture and design firms in the world and immediately expanded their environmental graphic design capabilities by simultaneously managing projects, working as a designer and programming custom and existing sign systems, working almost exclusively on wayfinding projects for global and domestic clients. Now, as founder of his own design practice, Rob directs the flow of all things Homonym.
Since graduating from the Academy of Art University in 2001, Riccardo has been a ubiquitous part of the Bay Area Post Production scene where he developed a background that includes off-line nonlinear editing, video and film compositing, and sound design; an experience that lead him to various industry-leading and award-winning agencies and production houses. His deep technical understanding of current and developing audio and video standards is the sort that can only be gained through years of working along side experienced industry professionals for commercial projects ranging from TV pilots to feature films. This is why we look to Riccardo to identify and implement key process and production protocols for our design teams.
As Homonym’s Technology Director, Riccardo will ensure that we are always ahead of curve when it comes to cutting-edge. Our ability to innovate starts with Riccardo and his ability to define the strategies that will enable us to integrate technology with information design and delivery.
A graduate of the prestigious College of Environmental Design at the University of California, Berkeley, Adam has honed
his craft over the last 21 years, working in various practice areas across architecture including residential, mixed-use,
hospitality and retail. As an active member of the American Institute of Architects and a practicing, registered architect in
California, he is also trained in master planning and adaptive reuse. But Adam brings more than creative solutions to
design problems; he is also a CSI-certified Construction Documents Technologist, allowing him to provide complete
specification writing and execution of construction documents.
As the Design Director at Homonym, Adam spearheads the design effort to ensure that our philosophy is infused in every project by guiding a diverse and talented group of designers. Known for his enthusiasm and relentless pursuit of innovative design, Adam is an avid photographer of architecture the world over.
